At Lake Wānaka Tourism, our Board is made up of six dedicated members, each bringing valuable experience, local insight, and a shared passion for the region. Elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting, they play a vital role in guiding LWT’s strategic direction.
Working collaboratively, the Board helps ensure Lake Wānaka Tourism remains focused on staying true to our mission while adapting to the evolving needs of our members, visitors and community.
Chair
A Wānaka local since 1989 who built the beloved Cinema Paradiso over 33 years. Former chef, QLDC councillor and Deputy Mayor, Calum now enjoys retirement on his lifestyle block whilst supporting LWT and planning his next adventure—backpacking around the world!
Board member
A passionate Wānaka local of 27 years who has shaped the region’s hospitality scene as co-founder and Managing Director of Federal Diner Ltd and Fudog Ltd. Brona’s commitment to excellence continues to enhance the visitor experience and put Wānaka on the map for its vibrant food culture.

Drawn to Wānaka’s snowy mountains in 2003, Stef has made this region his home ever since. Today, he helps run the Wānaka Lavender Farm, contributing to the region’s diverse visitor experiences.

Managing Director of Racers Edge and Director of Bike Glendhu. A passionate outdoors enthusiast and Wānaka local of nearly 20 years, Charles joined the LWT board to support sustainable tourism and elevate the Wānaka brand for future generations.

A long-time Wānaka local and General Manager of Wastebusters, Gina is leading the charge in zero-waste initiatives and circular solutions. With a background in communications and environmental advocacy, she works to protect Wānaka’s natural environment and inspire lasting change.

A hospitality veteran with over 40 years experience and previous LWT Board service. Now General Manager at Edgewater, Leigh brings valuable tourism governance expertise and is committed to balancing tourism success with community infrastructure needs.
Council Representative
Quentin Smith is Lake Wānaka Tourism’s council representative and a long-time Wānaka local. As Deputy Mayor of Queenstown Lakes District, he brings expertise in environmental management, planning, and governance to support Wānaka’s sustainable growth.
Board Member
Darrin Brown is Lake Wānaka Tourism’s newest co-opted board member and a director at Greenhawk Chartered Accountants. With a strong financial background and a passion for sustainability, he brings strategic insight to support Wānaka’s future.
